1 Year Later....

I’m back and I come bearing gifts of vacations past.

In all honesty, It’s been a good (almost) year since I’ve last updated this blog.  With that said, slap me on the wrist cause I’ve been a bad blogger!  But who can blame me when you suddenly find yourself doing more freelance, working the day job more and getting into a new relationship!  Queue in the “Ooooooh La La~”

Sometimes you just need to take time for yourself and as they say “Do you boo.”

Back in December, we went on a road trip to Vegas to see the one and only, run the world, Heeeeeeeeyyyyy Mrs. Carter, bootylicious Beyoncé!  It is a well known fact amongst my friends and relatives that I am a Beyoncé fan.  Yes I’m part of the beehive and if you’ve seen me driving through LA, I have been blasting “Drunk in Love” on repeat since the Beyoncé album dropped.

Carlos surprised me with tickets and a room at the Trump.  And for him I surprised him with fan girl screams and singing every song at the concert.
My lovely friend Fariha of Nail Job did my Beyoncé inspired nails for the concert.  Check them out here

I’m still saying Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyy Mrs. Carter

Early morning coffee grab before we hit the road. The bed head says it all.

And insert the screams here!

Check it out on Foam

Recently, as in a week ago, I wrote an article for Foam Magazine online on artist Chris Melgar.

Check out the article here and be sure to check out his site here!

SNL: The Finer Things

I love a good laugh, especially when it's not too far from the truth.

Another year down

Please excuse the lack of outfit photos. It's been unbearably hot in the southern hemisphere of California, but putting the skin melting heat aside today is.....

Now to go drink the entire day away.

Maps and Roads

Getting packed and ready to film for 3 days at a cabin near a lake. I love my job.

Deep in work

Sorry I've been gone for a minute.  Working hard to get closer to my goals, and to fill up those empty pockets of mine.  Also I've been out playing just to keep myself sane.
Now back to work.  I'm almost done editing these photos and video!  Go team me!

The Sample Sale

You know you did some serious shopping when you wake up and your arms are sore.
Yeah I did good.

Never regret

It's been a hard couple of weeks. I went to my grandmother's funeral and it felt good to see her even if it was the last time I would see her physically. It was hard to let her go and I tried to find comfort in the fact that she's at peace now and not suffering but at the same time I couldn't help but to feel guilty that I had not called her sooner. But life cannot be lived on regrets and guilt as my grandmother would say.

It Ain't Free

I have managed to keep myself busy with video making and photo shooting over the last few months. Both which were out of my field of interest. Then it hit me that I was so unhappy doing all of this and I decided that this year I won't be doing any more shoots for friends or for small companies.
For any freelance artists out there be you a photographer, stylist, video editor, painter etc. Do what makes you happy. It is understandable that you want to do as many projects as possible and get your name out there but to sell you talent for a cheap check and to be unhappy in doing so will not get you to where you need to go. And as for "helping" friends out, when that help turns into constant do this do that and you no longer have control of the project and all your free time is being dedicated to something you no longer believe in, take a step back and look at everything around you.
I would rather be happy than have a few extra dollars to spend.

So I have a new blog, goodbye photougraphs, and I have new ideas. New works in progress and a new goal in life.

a break from a break

I tried to take a break in september but that didn't work out so well. I ended up working anyways. So now my october is filled up with photo shoots, video shoots, and a personal change. Hopefully this month will be better than the last.

Cheer Up 25

Hello 25,
How are you today? You know 25 is not a bad number. It's never too little and it's never too big...so cheer up 25! You may be wondering who you are and where you're going. The future is so uncertain but deep down inside you know that you'll make it somehow. You may be on your way through real adulthood but the best years have yet to come. Look at it this way, now you can rent a car.

Love always,
Birthday girl

P.S. You don't look a day over 19! Stay beautiful!!

(yes that is the cheap monday skull. Gosh I love cheap monday)

a non-deadly twist

I'm Alive!!!

Recently my grandmother had a stroke. I don't think I will be able to visit her in Florida until we get all the details. All that matters is that she's still alive and she's eating well. Also I got into a car accident. Thankfully the girl didn't hit my car door which would had been fatal. She was strange, like slurring words strange and kept saying that she had to get to work and she kept "fake" crying. Please people keep in mind that if the light is RED then don't keep driving through it!

It's been a rough, very rough, week for me but all that matters is that I have my health, my family has their health and everything is ok.

Now onto the good news.

Recently Ann-Marie produced a big shoot. Video and photos for Vintage Eye which is ran by her friend Kyle Pak.

That shoot took a whole lot of energy from me because I was running around getting everything together, so I guess you can say I was the co-producer. Hence why I do not want to be a producer for anything, too stressful.

The story is called "Shady Business" and it's a Bonnie & Clyde theme with a non-deadly twist.

The video is a long ways from being done but the photos will be ready soon.

I'm also planning a shoot of my own. All Black Attire, Bones, Skulls and the Ocean.

Tokyo to LA

In just two weeks I will be dancing to the sounds of Van Cliffe D, Miss Elli-Rose herself, will be DJing at this event called "Tokyo Collaboration". Can't wait. I really wish that I had more friends over 21 and more friends that like to dance and party until 4am, well 2am for cali clubs boo!

Hi Graff

Today at the art gallery I intern for we started to set up for our second biggest show ever! So for you LA residents or anyone that's going to be in LA next week be sure to check out (drum roll)

"HI-GRAFF" at

Hold Up Art
358 East 2nd Street
Los Angeles, CA

You can check it out here on Facebook or here on HUA.

The entire second floor of the gallery is going to be covered from top to bottom in panels and covered with aerosol paint by various artists. I'm going to try and get pictures of the artist working hopefully this weekend.

Oh yeah my "mystery" camera came in the mail.

A fujifilm instax 210! Oh-em-Gee. Too bad the place I got it from was out of film but thankfully we sell the twin pack at work.

With that said good night, I'm going to let my body rest for a few days. Moving panels is so painful.

New Love

I can't wait for my new love to come in the mail.

Let the anticipation begin!

readings...

Fact: I need to read more blogs & get inspired more by what's going on around me. And respond to more blogs too.
But for now sleep....

Time Management

There is no greater passion than living life right now. Back to life.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. Have a good one.

And Misty says hello!

Birth & All

I share my birthday with Elvira mistress of the dark! my fav!!

New Hair Attitude

I get bored a lot. Mostly with my hair. So I couldn't take my face length bangs anymore. I will probably miss them in a few days....or a few hours. However I love how I look, should I dare say, more edgy. It may have taken me half a year for my bangs to get that long but hair grows and that's why there are hair extensions.

I will wear this new style with confidence.
